Some decadent prose about my mission philosophy for those who care to read it

You are unknowable and precious

A person's nature is entwined with cosmic design. The sacred mystery of you and the mystery of the everpresent, perpetually folding into each other. Not bound to a predetermined, fixative Fate, but awash in its currents. There is only the eye at the center of the cosmos and the eye in your heart, transfixed on one another in longing.

Rejoice! We know nothing!

We can choose who we are no more than the heart can choose who it loves. You cannot choose what you do not understand. Life is not for declaring - it is for discovering. We are told that our identities are utterly deterministic. This does not leave space for the mystery within or without. Our culture does not sponsor a connection with our hearts or true desires; with the fullness of our being. That would require some encounter with ambiguity. This is anathema to a world of guarantees. In fact, it thrives on the interruption of our essential elements to enforce predictability, reproducibility, uniformity. Security. It engineers falsehoods for us to identify with, installing false desires. Slipping a rock into the nest where an egg used to be.

Drive a sense of lack, and you drive demand.

From the time we are born to this world, we are beset by beliefs, demands, catastrophe and all manner of compounded suffering. Machination of histories, principalities of reeling dimension and contract powers that seek to control the beautiful, divine spark that lives in each of us. Expectations and definitions foisted on us which appropriate our inner world to the wider societal game, placing a warped lens before our inner flame. These forces fracture us, chase us away from parts of ourselves, and grow fat on what we leave behind.

You are the most priceless commodity in the known universe

By turning away from what is not considered acceptable about ourselves, by denying it and refusing the responsibility for it, we offer that part of our power up for grabs. Abandoning one’s most vulnerable self. This spiritual forfeiture is the function of abuse and the kernel of all addiction. This can only occur if we can be made to feel guilty, shameful, unworthy or dirty in our relationship to power. Even the idea that power itself is evil - simply because it is dangerous in the wrong hands - leads us to turn away from it. It is infinitely more dangerous to avert one’s eyes. "Power is frightening and I don't trust myself with it," is ever the cry of the subjugant.

Power itself is neutral. Its formulation and trajectory creates the result.

"Is this traumatic process deliberate in some way? Is it unconscious or emergent?"

"Is it simply human nature, or are there other forces at work?"

"What of myself has been hidden from me by this conditioning process?"

To ask questions like these, is to ask for a tour of the underworld. To seek the Plutonic treasure house of relinquished self-hood. To glimpse the secrets of power, their expression on the Earth, and how you are entangled with them. To seek what you are, and - perhaps more importantly - discover what you are not, so that you can take responsibility for your full expression.

Something is always steering the ship. Choose for it to be you.

Desire is sacred

Desire is the impetus of all creation reaching through your holy vessel to shape the luminous clay of this impossible dream, and nothing less than that. If angels have come to walk with humankind it is only because they have fallen so in love with us, and with our story, that they willingly made the sacrifice to become inextricably trapped inside the flow of time with us - as lovers do. We don’t have to be central in order to be of great consequence.
